Hi! I'm Heather, Founder of Habit Maker Mama.
As a former Division I athlete, Stanford graduate, and emergency room physician assistant - thriving under stress was my "thing". When I decided to hang up my stethoscope for some time after our second son arrived, I dove head first into the world of stay at home mom. I rose to the occasion and found joy in making it through another day. But then, I found myself sinking slowly. I was drowning in the daily tasks and feeling stressed beyond repair. I no longer felt happy and instead was going through the motions.
I wanted to be a happy mother. I wanted my kids to enjoy being around me and I wanted to enjoy being around myself. After trying various forms of quick fix self care, I realized I needed to improve my habits. I started using the science of habit formation to create lifestyle change.
